The National Athletics Center won two Public Choice Awards at the Architizer A+Awards
The National Athletics Center won the Public Choice Award in two categories at one of the world’s most prestigious architecture competitions, at the 13th edition of the Architizer A+Awards.
According to public votes, the building took first place both in the Stadium & Arena category and in the Sustainable Sports & Recreation Building category.
This recognition highlights both the architectural value and the exceptional engineering performance: the construction of the roof structure, with a perimeter of 840 meters, was carried out with a precision of only 20 millimeters, thanks to the meticulous work of the KÉSZ Group team. KÉSZ Metaltech and KÉSZ Ipari Gyártó Kft. played a key role in the project, with the support of Bim.GROUP.
A special feature of the center is that, after the 2023 World Athletics Championships, a panoramic recreational park was established on the upper grandstand, open to everyone – thus transforming the center into a truly community-oriented and sustainable space.
