Kronospan Romania

KÉSZ Romania designed and built the foundations, precast concrete structures, glued-laminated timber roof and technological steel structures for Kronospan’s greenfield wood-processing plant. The production halls combine precast and in-situ reinforced-concrete elements to create a robust and efficient structural system.

The roof structure is formed by glued-laminated timber beams imported from Austria, while the process steel structures consist of nearly 3,000 tonnes of steel supplied from Hungary. The total built-up area of the
project exceeds 45,000 m².

Through close international cooperation and highly complex engineering solutions, this investment has
delivered a major industrial facility that significantly increases Kronospan’s production capacity in
Romania.
