Electrical design and installation works

KÉSZ Romania acted as general contractor for the Systronics S.R.L. microelectronics plant in Arad, built
on behalf of the Swiss-based Cicor Group. Our scope covered the full design, construction and the
implementation of complex mechanical and electrical systems.

The facility consists of an industrial hall and a utility building on monolithic reinforced-concrete pad
foundations, with a precast concrete primary frame and secondary steel elements. The façades are clad
with three-layer plinth panels and sandwich panels, while the roof is finished with high-profile
trapezoidal sheet. A three-storey, 1,500 m² office block is integrated into the approximately 20,000 m²
overall development, which was designed using a fully 3D, model-based process.

The electrical systems include two 1,600 kVA transformers, a 2,500 A busbar system, main switchboards
and the complete lighting installation. From a mechanical perspective, the plant is equipped with
state-of-the-art solutions, including high-pressure air systems and humidification equipment tailored
to the technological requirements.

The project represents a milestone for KÉSZ Romania: almost 50% of the total investment value was
accounted for by the mechanical and electrical works, underlining the technical complexity of the
facility. Beyond delivering a modern microelectronics plant, the project has also established a
long-term, trust-based partnership between the Swiss client and KÉSZ Romania.
