Hexagon Offices
Hexagon Offices is an internally developed project by the KÉSZ Group and also serves as the company’s headquarters in Romania. It is located in Cluj-Napoca, at 178K–188S Calea Turzii. The KÉSZ Romania team carried out the design, general contracting, and electrical installations for this Class A office building, with a total area of 21,600 m².
The building’s structural solutions include foundations and monolithic reinforced concrete structures. The electrical works comprised the implementation of the electrical distribution network, installation of two 1,600 kVA transformers and an 800 kVA generator, as well as the lighting system and distribution panels. Modern mechanical systems were also implemented and monitored through a centralized Building Management System (BMS).
The project’s goal was to create a modern, sustainable, and multifunctional office environment that meets the latest technological requirements. Hexagon Offices achieved BREEAM Excellent and WELL Health-Safety certifications, demonstrating compliance with the highest standards of health, safety, and building operation.
A distinctive feature of the investment is the reuse of the structure from a hospital project initiated in 2011 and halted in 2014. The structural adaptation to the existing elements and the repositioning of the property allowed for the creation of a modern, sustainable office building. Innovative engineering solutions, the integration of renewable energy sources, and contemporary architectural design combine to make Hexagon Offices an iconic and exemplary reference in Cluj’s business landscape.
